Socrative Quiz...

One of the things that I like about using socrative.com to create this quiz was the fact that I have the option to see the students's results right away, I didn't have to go one by one grading them because this website did it for me automatically. I also liked the fact that I could create a report of the result so that I could focus on the areas on which my students need more help. Overall I think I would use this amazing website again and again to quiz my classes.

About me...

Wednesday, August 24, 2016

Hola,

My name is Diana Hernandez-Rivera, I am a full time mom, student and wife. In addition to all of that I also work full time. This is my fourth year as a Secondary Education Spanish major and I'm loving it! I believe education opens great doors for us hence I am here trying to be a better person and set an example for my kids, after all sky is the limit!

I moved to Idaho straight from Monterrey, Mexico when I was 16. I was an ESL student through High School, I spent a lot of time being pulled out of my classes to go to "special" classes where they taught us a lot of English vocabulary and they made us practice as much as we could. I didn't think I had a chance to even go to college, but against all odds, here I am today. I hope one day I can be a High School teacher so that I can help my students the way I was helped.

What I really enjoy about my life is being a mom. I have a very energetic four year old boy and a very adventurous 1 year old little girl; their names are Ariel and Ariana. They are my biggest inspiration and the reason why I haven't given up on this journey. I also love spending time with my husband Alberto, he is my biggest fan and supporter.

Realm of Creativity or Succubus of Dread

I believe having a vision of your classroom it's not "froofy" at all, one needs to kind of or sort of have an idea about what they want their classroom to look like because that's the place you're spending more time and you also want your students to learn in a nice, educational environment. We need to make sure our classroom is decorated according to the subject we're teaching. You don't want to decorate a Spanish's teacher's classroom with Math posters or stuff like that. Always keep in mind your students' feelings, do you want them to feel welcomed or do you want them to feel like they don't belong there? the classroom's environment plays a big role in a student's life. You always want your students to feel welcome, so keep that in mind.
